Cannellini Bean Yam Hummus
Today is the day that Schmoo of The Vegan Lunch Box announces his #1 Lunch! Ooh, the anticipation, and there has been much speculation as to which lunch was his favorite of the school year. What a tough decision it must have been for the little guy given all the amazing lunches Jennifer has made. Personally, I'm guessing that his favorite was Cannellini Bean Yam Hummus from Dreena's Vive le Vegan! When it appeared in his lunch back in February, the verdict was 5 Stars ~ "Shmoo ate it all with an "mmm!", even the "crust". Like Schmoo, I give this smoky-sweet hummus 5 Stars!

Vicki this looks sooo good (as does Dreena's today too). I know this recipe uses an oven, that's why I haven't gotten around to it yet. Those pitas look really "white", mine are usually tan, and not when they're whole wheat.

I was eagerly awaiting shmoo's lunch today and was surprised at Chinese as well. I would have probably gone for the dip!

OOoops, typo. I meant "is" that your doggies' ears. I looked at the photo again and I see that it is.... I'm on my laptop and sometimes it's had to make out small objects in pictures.
