McHummer of a bad idea

I saw this over at Vegan Cyclist, who in turn got the idea at Veggie Geek.

Hmmm, it's kind of funny 'cause it's soooo true. (sigh)
Y'know, I just found out that one of my favorite lunch spots, Chipotle, is owned by McDonald's. Grrrr. The weird thing is they have this big sign up that says that they use only organically fed, humanely raised meat. How can that possibly be if they are owned by the evil clown company? I think this might be some very misleading advertising...

Yet another reason I'm packin' my lunch more and more. :)

What a statement! I read G's too. wow! I have to agree with the lunch packing thing, which I prefer to do anyway. What a find.

I don't know what to say about this whole sign thing.. I'm a poor college kid and I work at McDonald's. Hmm.. am I a traitor?
In other news, you've been blogging a lot lately! I can't keep up. The chickpea pasta looks good, something I might be interested in trying. And I always love your perfect cookies! For my birthday I got one of those mini ice cream scoopers that is for cookies, I'm excited! Yayy cookies.

Hi theonlytania: I like anything with chickpeas. You are not a traitor for working there, it's not the fault of young people that the food and jobs available to them come from MNC's like McD's, wal-mart, etc., but when it comes down to it, you gotta work. Hey, you don't have to eat it at least as part of the job. I dished out hamburgers for years at various waitressing jobs, none of us are any better for the jobs we've had to take to survive, get through school, etc. I think our goal should be to make something else available to the next generation of college students -- better food, better jobs and better environment. Welp, I'll climb down from my soap box and say, again, thanks for the props on the chickpea salad!!

Hi Everybody: Thanks for coming by & commenting on my McSign. :o)

hi johanna3: I use "Saco" brand premium cocoa -- the box says it's a special blend of natural & Dutched cocoa. Basically, it's what I could find at the Co-op. :o)

Hi there, I wanted to send you this in an email, but couldn't find your address:

Greetings all. My name is Jonah and I run la.foodblogging.com . Recently, I also launched a site called Digesty.com and you are all listed on it. Digesty is essentially a website that lets readers do a quick scan to see new posts about specific food topics.

You are all listed on the Vegetarian Cooking version of the site, which can be seen here:

http://veggie.digesty.com

As you can see, I am only listing the titles from your posts and the links go directly to your site so that readers can see the post you have written. I am not, and do not intend on republishing your content. Digesty is like popurls.com, but specifically for food.

Los Angeles was our first city (because that's where I live and I'm selfish like that), and New York is the second. You can see LA here:

http://la.digesty.com

Next up is San Francisco, then probably Chicago and Seattle. I am also creating some other cuisine specific sites, such as bbq and candy reviews.

I hope that you like the site, please let me know if you have any feedback, including "this is lame, take me off". I am also creating badges that you can put on your site if you like, you can see an example at la.foodblogging.com.

Finally, if any of you are ever in Los Angeles, let us know, we foodbloggers get together from time to time to share a meal!

Best,

I still can't view any of your text (do you know why?!) but I can see the photo and it speaks loud and clear. I am wondering who posted that sign, where it is, and how long it stayed up for. Sorry if you already said this, I just can't see a title or ANY of the writing by you. I think this is great!

yes that was the recipe, i make it, i like it but other how try it think that will be great with a lighly less strong chocolate flavor. so i think they will do better with the cocoa blend you recomend to me.
