Beach House Backyard
We didn't have to go to town to have a good time. We had lots of fun in the back yard. You can see Abi, a fire pit, picnic table, the garage, and house.
We had plenty-o-snacks on that handy picnic table. And, we had big plans of roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, but never got around to it.
"Come on, bounce with me!" Can you believe they had a trampoline?! We spent hours bouncing and laughing --- and just laying on it looking up at the trees.
And a playhouse too! Underneath it is a sandbox complete with buckets & shovels. This place was made for us.
I thought the side of the garage was so charming & rustic looking. Can you see the little bird house on the side?

What a cute-sie place for the Fam!!! I bet the gals will miss it+ they probably will be wanting a trampoline!!!! LOL
Oooooh, i cannot resist a trampoline. How fun!
I have never been north of San Francisco but have always dreamed of living in Oregon or Washington (probably Oregon) and have never even been. Ray hasn't either and he likes the ideas of many places around there. He just so happened to be looking online at music teacher openings and Seaside was a place. He had no idea what it was but it seemed like a great working opportunity to him. Is it a veg friendly community?
You all look like you are having a great time. I commented below about how great that house you are staying in is. So much better than a hotel!
All this play equipment is in the yard of your rented beach house? I agree Leslie, much better than a hotel!
I haven't been by for a visit in a while. That beach house looks fantastic! It seems like everyone is having a great time. Oh, and regarding the Pampered Chef entry - I looove Pampered Chef 'stuff'. I have the pastry blender too and it works great. I'm sure you'll have fun playing with your new toys!
And kudos to your hubby with the Ravenswood pick. Great choice!
hi cinda: liv has been talking nonstop about the beach house, and she's really enjoyed looking at the blog pictures cuz the film isn't developed yet. i lug 2 cameras around! shhhh, don't tell anyone, but I want a trampoline!
hi kleopatra: me too!!! :o)
hi leslie: i really love oregon! not sure how you'd feel about the weather though -- they get quite a bit of rain and certainly not as hot as I think you like it being an AZ girl -- but, it's green & lush. From my experience, i'd say veg friendly -- only an hour from portland (jess's home town) and lots of "earthy" people about -- though we brought most of our food & didn't look to buy it there. where was the teaching opportunity in seaside?
hi dori: forget hotels -- especially if you can plan ahead. all the play equipment in the back yard was totally unexpected & a delight.
hi carrie: you're a ravenswood fan?! we were lucky enough to visit the winery in sonoma, and it was spectacular!
hi twilight: "it's a good thing" for vegans/vegetarians to rent a house for vacations. if it's anything like this one, it's stocked with pot & pans, etc. and you can cook your own grub. and i like things a little "rough" around the edges...not a canned up, stepford wife style place such as the corporate hotels.
